With its baroque and art nouveau buildings, Rathausplatz in St. Pölten is one of the most beautiful squares in Lower Austria. The countdown is on - it's almost time again: on Friday, 22 November, the ‘Fairytale Christmas Market’ opens its doors on Rathausplatz in St. Pölten at 12 noon. Until 23 December, the charming Christmas market invites you to stroll, enjoy and discover - free admission!

Opening hours and important information

The arts and crafts stalls, food stalls and the children's workshop are open as follows:

• Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 9pm
• Friday to Sunday from 1pm to 9pm
• The arts and crafts stalls close daily at 8 pm.
• A Christmas tree sale is also part of the market offer: from 11 December, you can choose your tree for home every day from 8 am to 6 pm.

• DJ booth in the Advent wreath in front of the town hall | Fri & Sat 18-21:00

• Carriage ride with the Weihnachtsengerl | Saturdays between 2 and 5 p.m.
• A visit from St Nicholas | 6 Dec. from 5:30 pm (St Nicholas bags can be ordered at the tourist information office)
• Perchtenshow | 7.12. from 17:30

In the children's workshop:

• Punch and Judy show | Fri & Sat 17:00
• Baking biscuits, handicrafts & painting | daily
